Peter Jones - Chairman

In 1990 Peter won the BAFTA award for Best Series for 'The Trials of Life'. and in 1991 was honoured at Telluride by a tribute to his work. In 1992 he received the Cherry Kearton Award for scientific film making from the Royal Geographic Society. He works with colleagues Nigel Ashcroft and David Axelrod on programmes about science, scientific biography and history.

In Search of Human Origins, Mystery of the Senses, Lost at Sea - The Search for Longitude and Einstein Revealed were among Green Umbrella's 1990's ventures.. Directing Escape from Berlin and Galileo's Daughter, staring Simon Callow for NOVA / WGBH and Channel Four followed in 2002. 'Galileo's Daughter' won the Emmy for longform history programmes in 2003. Peter directed a drama-documentary for the WGBH strand, American Experience about the second American President, John Adams. It was shown on PBS in 2006. Most recently Peter was Supervising Producer on the PBS special, Seeing in the Dark, based on Timothy Ferris' best selling book of the same name.
